Geoffrey Hinton one of three “godfathers of AI”
Hinton is a leading computer scientist and cognitive psychologist, widely recognized as the ‘Godfather of AI’ for his pioneering work on neural networks and deep learning. He received the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physics for “foundational discoveries and inventions that enable machine learning with artificial neural networks” and the 2018 Turing Award, often called the Nobel Prize of computing. In 2023, he left Google to warn people about the rising dangers of AI.
